S.P.S. Farm is a private full care horse boarding facility in Easley SC. It boasts a beautiful Morton barn with 9 spacious stalls. Each stall has a private window over looking the property. At SPS Farm every horse is monitored throughout the day and the owner is onsite overnight. Due to the love and constant attention each horse receives at SPS Farm we often joke that SPS stands for Spoiled and Pampered by Slaves! Here at SPS Farm we are completely dedicated to each individual horses’ care and well-being. All horses are turned out daily, except in inclement weather and stalls are cleaned daily. Horses are fed twice a day in accordance to each horses’ individual needs. We feed copious quantities of quality fescue hay, however our boarders are welcome to customize their horses feed as necessary. Quality hay is also given twice a day. We weigh each horses’ portion to ensure consistency. SPS Farm stocks a fescue hay, but will feed any specialty hay your horse requires (provided by owner). We bed our stalls with a beautiful quality pine sawdust which we find provides a warm bed in the winter and allows us to best keep each stall clean and sanitary.
Horses are blanketed in winter according to in barn and outside temperatures and fly masks with ears (which are mandatory for boarding horses) and fly sheets provided by the owner will be applied during fly season or to protect from the sun’s UV rays.
We follow a strict fly reduction schedule and worm according to fecal egg counts. We offer scheduling of both farrier and shots when using our professionals (owners responsible for their individual costs), however you are welcome to bring in your own vet, farrier, or trainer.
Also both the 66’X198’ regulation dressage arena and the all-purpose 100’x192’ arena are available if a scheduled lesson is not in progress. Jumps are available in the all purpose arena.
For the safety of our clients and horses, clients are permitted to enter only their horse’s assigned stall and use only their personal equipment and supplies. Copies of negative Coggins, current shots, boarding contract, boarding information form and registration papers (if applicable)will be required prior to arrival.
